Viewing Behaviour in Week IV – A Review of Prime Time

Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC 3) was launched on Star Plus on 22nd January 07 and the following article analyses the flow of audiences and repeat viewership of Zee TV and Star Plus in the fourth week of January on All India markets.

Table 1, exhibits the audience of KBC (5 mins. consecutive) as the base and examined their viewing behaviour before and after the program. 49% of the viewers were already in the Star Plus environment watching Kasauti Zindagi Ki on Star Plus (22nd January 07), 47% and 40% stayed on to watch Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kyunki respectively for atleast 5 minutes. 13% and 16% of these viewers also watched Kasam Se and Saat Phere respectively.

As seen from the figure above, out of the viewers of 1st episode of KBC, 42% watched the second episode and 34% came back to watch the 5th episode, which was broadcast on 29th January 07.
